Stencilize Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-05-29
Stencilize helps tattoo artists convert photos into black-and-white stencil linework.
Data We Collect
- Photos you choose to capture or upload for stencil generation.
- Generated stencil images and related metadata, including title, created date, prompt version, and model identifier.
- Apple sign-in account identifier.
- Email address if Apple provides it and you choose to share it.
- Credit balance, purchase ledger, and generation ledger.
- Anonymous app installation identifier used to operate unsigned-in sessions and support account recovery.
How We Use Data
- To generate stencil output from user-provided images.
- To sync and recover credits and generations when you sign in with Apple.
- To verify purchases and maintain an auditable credit ledger.
- To provide support, troubleshoot generation failures, and prevent abuse.
- To send optional marketing/product emails only when you opt in.
AI Processing
Images are sent from the app to the Stencilize backend, then to the configured AI provider for stencil generation. API keys stay server-side and are not included in the iOS app.
Marketing Consent
Marketing email is optional and disclosed at sign-up. You can turn email updates off in Settings. Turning off email updates does not affect your ability to use Stencilize.
Retention
Synced generations and credit records are retained while your account exists so recovery works across devices. Exported files saved to Photos, Files, Procreate, or other apps are controlled by those apps and your device settings.
Deletion
You can delete your account in Settings. Account deletion removes your backend account, credit balance, and synced generations from Stencilize systems. It does not remove files you already exported outside Stencilize.
Tracking
Stencilize does not use third-party tracking for advertising.
